Information about the coach terminal services

Due to the announced emergency situation in the country from March 12, 2020 to April 14, 2020, the offer of services of JSC “Riga International Coach Terminal” has been reduced.

For the services available at the coach terminal, please contact the coach terminal administrator on the ground floor of the terminal or by phone (+371) 67226658.

International passenger transportation for the duration of an emergency has been canceled. Passengers can obtain additional information from carriers.

 

According to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of 14 March, 2020:

With effect from 17 March 2020, to abolish international carriage of passengers through airports, ports, by buses and rail, excluding carriage of passengers by official government aircraft and military transport.

International passenger transport through airports, ports, by bus and rail transport will be cancelled as of 17 March.

The above-mentioned restrictions to travel through airport, port, railway and road crossing points shall not apply to nationals of the Republic of Latvia who wish to return to Latvia. Nor do they apply to foreign nationals whose permanent place of residence is in Latvia and who want to return here or to foreign nationals who want to leave Latvia.

 

An emergency situation is announced in the country

In view of the global situation caused by Covid-19 and the potential risks in Latvia, an emergency situation is announced in the country from 12 March to 14 April, 2020.

In order to limit the spread of the virus, a number of precautions will be taken during this period. The announced measures are available on websites of Ministry of Health  www.vm.gov.lv and The Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (CDPC) of Latvia https://spkc.gov.lv/

RECOMMENDATIONS

for a person who visited COVID-19 affected area* in the last 14 days

  • Observe your health for 14 days after contact with COVID-19; measuring body temperature at least twice daily is recommended.
  • If during this period symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection appear (fever, sore throat, cough or difficulty in breathing):
    • if possible avoid contacts with family members and other persons,
    • call Emergency medical service immediately (113 in Latvia),
    • inform the healthcare worker about your symptoms and probable contact with coronavirus COVID-19 case.
